Social media was flooded with felicitations for Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi, as his nikah ceremony was held on Thursday (today). #امیرسعدرضویشادیمبارک remained one of the top trends on Twitter.
Saad had been betrothed to his cousin by his late father and former TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi and the wedding was scheduled for November 22, 2020. The ceremony, however, had to be postponed as Khadim passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2020 reported Geo.
According to the report, the ceremony took place in the Kalan area of Attock.
Video clips and pictures have been shared on social media from the gathering, showing former Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairperson Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, performing the nikah ceremony.
It is also worth noting that Saad's chair has been especially designed with the party's slogan above the head of the chair.
A party follower congratulated him for conducting the nikah ceremony with "modesty".
On the occasion of joy and celebration, many social media users posted pictures of Khadim Rizvi because they were "missing" him.
Another user labelled Saad as a "handsome leader" on his special day.
Many others went to the extent of congratulating the whole Muslim Ummah on the occasion.
A user congratulated the TLP chief with prayers for keeping him safe from the "evil" eye.
TLP workers and leaders have been invited to attend Saad's valima reception, which will be held at Minar-e-Pakistan's Sabzazar Ground at 1pm on February 6, according to the Geo report.
