The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the anthem for the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The anthem, which is titled ‘Agay Dekh’, is sung by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig and is produced by Abdullah Siddiqui.
"The wait is over. Presenting to you the official #PSL7 anthem," the PCB wrote while sharing the official video of the anthem on its official Twitter handle.
The anthem is sponsered by the social media platform TikTok.
“Pakistani cricket has given us many moments to cherish, and this year’s PSL anthem carries forward the nationwide spirit and culture surrounding it,” the PCB said, adding ‘Agay dekh’ urges audiences to look beyond binaries of victory and defeat, and enjoy the game in its purest essence.
The theme of the song is inspirational and motivational with the lyrics and music aimed at uplifting the mood of the fans and the nation as the world is passing through tough and testing times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is the first time Atif Aslam has sung the PCB’s marquee event song, while Aima Baig had featured in last year’s ‘Groove Mera’.
The season 7 of the PSL will begin in Karachi on January 27.
