At least eight people died and 16 others have been injured in rain and snow related incidents in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, 16 houses have received partial damages while one has been completely destroyed.

The rain and snowfall continued to lash parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, triggering road closures and prompting the chief minister to issue directives to the authorities concerned to provide prompt relief to the landslide affectees in Shangla district and elsewhere in the province.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed all concerned district administration and authorities for acceleration of relief operation in the affected areas.
