Based on PTI govt's performance its ouster a 'matter of days', says Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz says that based on the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government's performance it is only a matter of days before it is sent packing.

Speaking to journalists outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Maryam said the incumbent government's performance "couldn't be termed bad, because there is no performance to judge".

“The whole nation is aware of the truth behind the controversy they are trying to stir,” she said.

Maryam said that the government’s spokespersons did not speak about the issues including inflation, unemployment and Murree tragedy.

She urged the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid to respond to the incident, in which 23 people froze to death, as the government was attempted to hide its incompetence.

"Yet, after all the trials and tribulations, PML-N is standing like a rock behind its leader. It did not break even after the concocted court cases initiated against the party," Maryam said adding that despite Imran Khan being the sitting prime minister, his party members did not respect him.

“The urgency with which PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) seeks to topple the government is only outmatched by government representatives themselves seeking to do the same,” she said in response to a question.
