Pakistani Twitter can’t wait for new PSL anthem to drop

Social media users are excited for the release of the official anthem for Pakistan Super League 2022. The track which is due next week features pop sensations Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.

Aslam shared a poster on his Twitter on Thursday and asked his fans if they were “readyyy???”

PSL enthusiasts can’t stop speculating what the song and video will be like.

While most people are gushing over Aslam, some are excited about the producer of the song.

Abdullah Siddiqui, who featured on the Forbes 30 under 30 in 2021, is a young song writer and producer who rose to fame as an independent artist at the age of 16. He has written and produced music for Meesha Shafi, Aima Baig and Shamoon Ismail.

Siddiqui is one of the reasons people are expecting the PSL anthem to be “genius.”

The combination of Aslam and Siddiqui has Pakistani Twitterati on the edge of their seats, however, they’re not convinced with Aima Baig's inclusion.

One of the reasons people aren’t thrilled that Baig will be singing the PSL anthem is that she hasn’t paid Rs.85 million in taxes.

The Federal Board of Revenue has issued a notice to the artist for non-payment of income tax for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Some people even suggested replacing Baig with other another singer.

What do you think about the upcoming PSL anthem, let us know.
