Did PTI's Ali Zaidi post a photoshopped image of a Karachi road?

Social media users have turned on PTI's shipping minister Ali Zaidi for posting what they say is a photoshopped image of MA Jinnah Road.

Zaidi posted two images of MA Jinnah Road, saying the decrepit road sign represented the province under Peoples Party rule which the new, improved image was symbolic of the changes the PTI wants to bring.

He said as much in his tweet: "It's time."

But social media users turned on the minister for posting an image that clearly looked false.

Some thought it was a hilarious tweet on the minister's part.

One user played on Zaidi's tweet and said it was time for the PTI to leave. This was a popular sentiment as one user shared an image of the PTI being kicked out of KP in the recent local government elections.

Another asked the minister to stop making tall claims and become the leader that delivers, not just issue statements.

One user said it was cruel to post this image on a day when rain in Karachi ruined the state of the roads. While another said roads don't build a nation.

Another expressed anger, posting some data which he felt reflected another reality.

Another user asked the PTI leader to "please stop this drama with Karachiites. You guys have won more than 10 seats in Karachi and none of your MNAs have been able to do good. I suggest you come iut of your comfort Zone and do visit North/New Karachi, Surjani Town and such other areas."

Lots of users took the opportunity to poke fun at the altered image itself.

One user tweeted: "Shame of youthia brigade this is same dream which you showed to nation in 2018 all photoshopped by pti propaganda cell."

Perhaps this tweet embodied the most shared feelings of social media users:
