Pakistan, on Tuesday, conducted a successful test of an enhanced range version of the indigenously developed ‘Babur Cruise Missile 1B’, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.
The ceremony was witnessed by Strategic Plans Division Director General Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, NESCOM Chairperson Dr Raza Samar, Army Strategic Force Command Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organisations, read the ISPR statement.
“The Strategic Plans Division director general congratulated the scientists and engineers on achieving excellence in the domain of cruise missile technology and expressed his full confidence that this test will further strengthen Pakistan’s strategic deterrence,” the military's media wing added.
The president, prime minister, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee chairman and services chiefs have also congratulated the scientists and engineers on the conduct of successful launch.
