Men and women find walking at night in the UAE safer than any other country in the world according to Gallup’s Global Law and Order 2021 report.
The Emirates scored 95 percent, when it came to feeling safe while walking alone at night, in the survey.
Scoring 93 percent in report, Norway came in a close second.
Gallup’s Law and Order index is a worldwide gauge of people’s sense of personal security and their experiences with crime.
The responses for 2021 survey were collected throughout the first full year and the second half of the pandemic.
Responding to the survey vice president and the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, tweeted: “Security is a blessing.. and safety is tranquility, tranquility and life.. If a woman wanders alone at any hour of the day or night without fear, know that she is in the Emirates.”
