ISLAMABAD: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bullish trend on Thursday, gaining 186.74 points, with a positive change of 0.40 per cent, closing at 47,219.18 points against 47,032.44 points on the last working day.
A total of 561,936,607 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 380,558,642 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs16.009 billion against Rs15.548 billion the previous day.
As many as 390 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 238 of them recorded gain and 131 sustained losses whereas the share price of 21 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 81,042,000 shares and price per share of Rs2.66, Byco Petroleum with a volume of 30,351,500 and price per share of Rs 7.98 and Telecard Limited XB with volume of 26,590,500 and price per share of Rs 18.20.
Rafhan Maize witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 250 per share, closing at Rs9750, runner up was Nestle Pakistan, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs140.96 to Rs5995.98.
Unilever Foods witnessed maximum decrease of Rs500 per share, closing at Rs 20,000, followed by Colgate Plam, the share prices of which declined by Rs100.09 per share to Rs 2649.90.
