KARACHI: At least four persons were killed while several others sustained injuries in a CNG plant explosion at a petrol station in Karachi’s North Nazimabad on Friday night.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West Nasir Aftab has confirmed the deaths of three people and attributed the blast to a leaky cylinder.
According to the rescue officials, the explosion occurred inside a petrol pump located near Abdullah College, North Nazimabad.
There were unconfirmed reports that a gas cylinder had exploded because of leakage of gas. However, no other officer was immediately available to share details of the incident.
