ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee against US dollar depreciated by 30 paisas in the interbank trading on Tuesday to close at Rs171.04 against the previous day's closing of Rs170.74, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
According to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 170.8 and Rs 172.8 respectively.
Similarly, the price of euro which was traded at Rs197.68, appreciated by 27 paisas as compared to its last closing of Rs Rs197.41, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost two paisas to close at Rs 1.50, whereas a decrease of 54 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 232.25 as compared to its last closing of Rs232.79.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 08 paisas each to close at Rs46.56 and Rs 45.60 respectively.
