ISLAMABAD: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 519.36 points, with a negative change of 1.12 per cent, closing at 46,008.85 points against 46,528.21 points on the last working day.
A total of 325,882,176 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 194,720,902 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs12.322 billion against Rs8.078 billion the previous day.
As many as 519 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 103 of them recorded gain and 398 sustained losses whereas the share price of 18 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were Telecard Limited with a volume of 28,116,500 shares and price per share of Rs 22.06, WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 26,432,000 and price per share of Rs 3.11 and TLP Corp ltd with volume of 21,438,000 and price per share of Rs 24.98. Nestle Pakistan witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 104.99 per share, closing at Rs 5910. The runner up was Colgate palm XDXB, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs40.10 to Rs2438.08.
Pak Tobacco witnessed maximum decrease of Rs 41 per share, closing at Rs1155, followed by Gatron Ind, the share prices of which declined by Rs 32.99 per share to Rs 480.01.
