KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the government intended to frighten the opposition by using this Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Speaking to media outside Accountability Court in Karachi, he said that the government wants to see such head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), who won’t see its corruption.
He said that the government was trying to intimidate the opposition by using the same chairman. It wanted a blind NAB chairman who does not see corruption in government institutions.
Criticizing the government, he further said that his recovery is zero. During the tenure of this NAB chairman, eight to ten billion rupees were spent in the government's broadsheet.
Replying a question about the party’s show cause notice to a senior PML-N leader Javed Latif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that show cause notices don’t serve without any reason. “Any comment, which malign a person or his conduct demands explanation call,” he said.
