ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee depreciated by 85 paisas on Tuesday against the US dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs168.94 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs168.10, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs168.8 and Rs169.8 respectively.
The price of euro was appreciated by Rs 1.57 and closed at Rs199.74 against the last day’s trading of Rs198.17, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs1.53, whereas an increase of Rs 2.21 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 234.39 as compared to its last closing of Rs 232.18.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 23 paisas each to close at Rs 45.99 and Rs 45.04 respectively.
