Various areas of Karachi received heavy rainfall on Friday resulting in roads and street becoming inundated with rain water.
Heavy rain with thunderstorms was reported in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Federal B area, while University Road, Airport and Malir received light rain, reported Aaj News.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted rains across Sindh and Balochistan.
Social media users took to Twitter to express relief as the rain hits multiple parts of Karachi after continuous hot weather in the provincial capital.
A user shared a video on Twitter showing an inundated road in Karachi.
Another user shared a video on Twitter and identified that an electricity pole installed in Mehmoodabad area could be dangerous and led to electrocution.
The Met department has also predicted rain with thunderstorm during the upcoming 24 hours in Karachi, while the sky would remain partial and complete cloudy.
The Karachi administration asked police officials to help people in case the city faces traffic jams on roads.
From the last two days, multiple areas of Karachi have witnessed light and heavy rainfall, as per the report.
According to the Met department prediction on Tuesday, “rain-wind-thundershower (with Isolated heavy falls) are expected” in Karachi and Hyderabad from August 31 to September 3.
While, as per the prediction, downpour was also expected in various districts of Sindh, including Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur and Jacobabad during the same period.
