ISLAMABAD: American blogger Cynthia D Ritchie on Thursday has been found unconscious at her residencr in Islamabad.

According to the police Ritchie was shifted to hospital for medical treatment and medical reports will further clear the facts for her condition.

Cynthia Ritchie has been in the news after she accused former interior minister Rehman Malik of raping her.

She had also accused ex-prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani of "physically manhandling" her a couple of years ago.

Both the leaders had rubbished her allegations and said that it was a plot to malign the PPP.

Cynthia had claimed that she had been invited to Pakistan by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) when Asif Ali Zardari was the president and Yousuf Raza Gilani was the prime minister.

In an interview with Dunya News on June 6, 2018, Ritchie, while contradicting her own statement, said that she had been invited to Pakistan by Pakistani Americans a several years ago when the floods happened in 2010.

The PPP recently filed a complaint against Ritchie with the FIA for maligning former Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto.

In her last tweet on Wednesday, Ritchie said she would not back down regarding her case in Pakistan. She posted a video from 2020 of Xen Sams, a model actress and mentor, defending Cynthia.

On the same day she retweeted Emily Wilder's May 22 statement on when she was terminated from the AP for her pro-Palestinian activism in college.

24News reported Cynthia was poisoned citing a medic at the clinic but this could not be verified by AajNews.
