Veteran actor Durdana Butt has passed away in Karachi after battling Covid. She was in her 80s.
Commenting on her death, RJ Khalid Malik posted on social media: "Till the end, the doctors said she’s a fighter but when you are called [by your Creator] — and she understood that — she let go, she stopped fighting."
Butt was known for many of her comedic roles in Fifty Fifty, Naukar ke Aagay Chakkar, Aanghan Terha and Tanhaiyan.
A graduate of Kinnaird College, Butt also has a doctorate in education.
She's survived by her sister, brother and nieces and nephews.
Tributes have been pouring in her since the news of her death.
