With a slight drop in Covid positivity rate, Pakistan recorded 4,040 virus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre.
According to figures released by NCOC on Monday, 53,528 Covid tests were conducted on Sunday of which 4,040 tested positive; 53 people died of the virus.
The Covid positivity ratio was 7.54%.
Meanwhile, total cases of the infection in the country has reached to 1,071,620.
As Sindh has eased lockdown restrictions, Aaj News reported how people were seen barely following restrictions imposed in a local area vegetable market.
The report further added that during the strict lockdown some local food outlets were also operating outdoor dining in Karachi and the city administration failed to implement Covid curbs. Today outdoor dining in the morning was the same as seen earlier, said the reporter.
In Karachi traders opened markets early in the morning against the usual practice as the provincial government has allowed businessmen to continue operation till 8pm, reported Geo.
