ISLAMABAD: The KSE 100-index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Thursday, losing 149 points, with a negative change of 0.31 percent, closing at 47,640.88 points against 47,789.88 points on the last working day.
A total of 546,810,005 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 532,951,316 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 15.374 billion against Rs 15.152 billion the previous day.
As many as 492 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 212 of them recorded gain and 263 sustained losses whereas the share price of 17 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were PTCL with a volume of 62,138,500 shares and price per share of Rs 12.05, TPL Corp Ltd with a volume of 42,663,500 and price per share of Rs 24.88 and Telecard Limited with volume of 35,645,000 and price per share of Rs 17.85.
Unilever Foods witnessed maximum increase of Rs 99.50 per share, closing at Rs16999.50 whereas Ismail Ind was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs 29.95 closing at Rs 429.95.
Pak Services recorded a maximum decrease of Rs 72.52 per share, closing at Rs 894.48 followed by Nestle Pakistan the share prices of which decreased by Rs 66.82 per share, closing at Rs 5983.18.
