Media reports four missing girls found in Sahiwal

Four girls reported missing in Lahore four days ago have been found in Sahiwal according to a report on Geo News.

The girls -- two set of sisters aged between 8 to 14 -- went missing from Hanjarwal in Lahore on Monday and the father of one set of girls filed an FIR under kidnapping.

The family initially did not report the crime and searched for the girls themselves after they went out at 8pm on Friday to ride the Orange Line metro train, reported Dawn.

When the families could not find them they reported a case of kidnapping.

According to an SHO of Hanjarwal investigating the case, a rickshaw driver dropped the girls in EME society on midnight July 30, which is the last information the police had when Dawn filed the story on Monday.

Then, on Wednesday the police received news the girls had been found in Sahiwal and they were on their way to recover the girls on the directives of Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar.

The police was able to trace them once one of the girls switched on her phones.

Geo reports the girls were not kidnapped but switched their phones off because they feared getting punished by their parents.
