At least 34 people are reported dead, and 48 injured, in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Indus Highway in Dera Ghazi Khan according to officials.
The bus was on its way to Rajanpur from Sialkot when the accident occurred.
According to the Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Dr Irshad Ahmed, rescue officials reached the site of the accident and shifted the dead and injured to a hospital in DG Khan.
He confirmed that women and children were among the 29 dead.
Management at the DHQ Teaching Hospital said four people were in critical condition.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar expressed his condolences on the deaths caused in the accident. He also asked the injured be given the best treatment possible.
Interior minister Sheikh Rasheed tweeted his condolences.
