The Prime Minister was all praise for the NCOC, SBP and Ehsaas for helping Pakistan's "return to normalcy" index as decided by The Economist on Monday.
The magazine ranked Pakistan third in the Global Normalcy Index which determines which countries are returning to pre-pandemic levels. It graded 50 countries using the following indicators: Time not at home, retail, office use, public transport, road traffic, flights, cinema and sports attendance.
Hong Kong tops the list with a ranking of 96.3 and New Zealand has ranked in second with 87.8. Pakistan has ranked third, with 84.4 out of 100.
Prime Minister Imran Khan credits this achievement to the hard work of the teams at the State Bank of Pakistan, the National Command and operation Centre and Ehsaas Program for making the "return to normalcy" possible.
India and China, were ranked 48 and 19 with scores of 46.5 and 72.9 respectively.
As of July 6, the NCOC claims that 18,228, 235 Pakistanis have been vaccinated.
