The Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief over the loss of lives and offered condolences to the families of victims of the tragic train accident that took place Monday (today).
Taking to Twitter, the PML-N president said:
"[I am ] deeply grieved to learn about the loss of precious human lives in trains’ collision. My thoughts & prayers are with bereaved families who lost their loved ones in this heart-rending incident."
Former chief minister Punjab said train accidents have become too common and called for authorities to take responsibility.
Sharif said, Imran Khan — while he was in the opposition — used to talk about fixing responsibility at the highest levels. However, 10 major train accidents have happened since PTI came to power in 2018, and no one has been held accountable.
