MANSEHRA: At least eight people, including women and children, were killed and three others were injured after a vehicle plunged into the Siran River from Gojra Bridge in Mansehra.
A Suzuki vehicle traveling from Mansehra to Lassan Nawab fell into the Siran River from Gujjar Bridge near Phulda area of district Mansehra.
Eight people including two women and three minors were killed while three minors were seriously injured in the accident. The injured were shifted to the hospital.
Police, locals and Rescue 1122 carried out rescue operations and shifted the bodies of injured children and the deceased to King Abdullah Hospital, Mansehra.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan expressed regret over the incident and directed the district administration to provide best medical aid to the injured.
