KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has assured Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah of providing all possible help in the operation against bandits in Shikarpur.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at CM House.
The meeting was attended by Federal Interior Secretary, Chief Secretary, Inspector General (IG) Sindh Mushtaq Mehr and others.
The law and order situation in Sindh and the operation against bandits in Kacha were discussed during the meeting.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the PPP government had carried out a grand operation in 2007 to clear the highways. The law and order situation in Karachi was so bad that it had become a no-go area.
The Sindh Chief Minister told Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid that on May 23, police conducted an operation to rescue eight abductees from Kacha area of Shikarpur. Two policemen were martyred in the bandit attack.
Rasheed told the chief minister that he could seek Rangers’ assistance for the operation at any time, according to a press release by the Sindh government.
He said that federal government will provide anything Sindh need and Sindh government can take Rangers' services in operation.
The Chief Minister Sindh further said that some sensitive equipment is needed, which is being arranged by the Sindh government, the Ministry of Home Affairs should help in obtaining it, we will soon clear the Kacha area of dacoits.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that we are ready to cooperate in any way, you should register cases of terrorism against dacoits.
