LAHORE: Estranged leader of PML-N and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday took oath as a member of Punjab Assembly after two years and ten months he won election in 2018.

Acting speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari has taken oath from Chaudhry Nisar.

Before taking oath Chaudhry Nisar met Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti at Speaker Punjab Assembly's chamber.

Muhammad Khan Bhatti took Chaudhry Nisar into confidence on the issue of his oath and said that the status of the petitions filed against him has been checked. According to which there is no legal impediment in taking his oath.
