The Sindh government-imposed ban unnecessary movement of people after 8pm from May 25 in Sindh in a bid to control the third wave of the covid-19 pandemic, Aaj News reported
The Sindh government issued a notification on Monday in this regard.
As per the order, businesses will remain open from 5am till 6pm in the province. Whereas, all business activities will be shut on Fridays and Sundays.
Though the federal government has announced relaxation in Covid-related restrictions in all other provinces seeing a downward trend in positive cases and a number of fatalities, but the Sindh government apprehensive of the virus fearful resurgence decided not to let its guards down.
On Sunday, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the province would continue to follow the Covid-19 protocols for another two weeks.
All educational institutes in Sindh from nursery to university classes will remain shut. Wedding halls, cinema halls and all recreational spots would also remain closed.
Restaurants will provide only takeaway services, whereas eat-in and eat-out services will be prohibited. Shops and shopping malls will remain open till 6 pm. While medical stores, grocery shops and petrol pumps will remain open.
However, medical stores which are situated inside the shopping malls will remain shut. Bakery and dairy shops will remain open till 12 midnight.
Public transport will run with 50% capacity. Expo centre, beauty salons and sports tournaments are banned.
