• In the last 24 hours, 6,127 COVID-19 cases and 149 deaths were documented in the country.

6,127 new cases - It's the country's fourth highest-ever one-day tally reported in the pandemic yet. With the top 3 tallies reported at the peak of the first wave of COVID-19 in mid-June, yesterday's tally is highest in the ongoing third wave.

149 new deaths - It's the country's third highest-ever one-day tally reported in the pandemic yet. With the top 2 death tallies reported also at the peak of the first wave of COVID-19 in mid-June, yesterday's count is highest in the ongoing third wave.

71,836 PCR Covid-19 tests conducted in the past 24 hours in Pakistan- it's the highest number of tests conducted in the country in a single day yet.

As per the latest reports provided by the federal government, the current coronavirus situation of Pakistan is as follows:

Among all the provinces of the country, the most number of new coronavirus cases were detected in Punjab in the past 24 hours as 3,562 Punjabis tested positive. This statistic indicates that the lethal flu bug is rampant in the most populous region of the country.
