** The Punjab government's home Department has placed Saad Hussain Rizvi, head of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, in the Fourth Schedule. **
After being included in Fourth Schedule, the assets of Saad Rizvi, son of the late Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, were frozen and his identity card was blocked. Saad Rizvi will not be able to use any bank account or purchase or sell property.
The Punjab Home Department has issued a notification for placing the name of Saad Rizvi in the Fourth Schedule. The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) has also placed TLP to the list of banned parties.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Sheikh Rashid had hinted that along with the annulment of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, their assets would also be frozen.
Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan was banned under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. Now the Interior Ministry has announced the freezing of all assets of the party chief.
On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that he is bringing a law under which members of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik will not be able to remain in the assemblies. Under the law, they will not be able to participate in elections or join any party.
Sheikh Rashid revealed that the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan had planned to seal off the entire country. He said that the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Party was formed two years ago in 2017. I never went to the sit-in of Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
