Pakistan on Thursday has reported 4,974 new cases and 98 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 50,055 coronavirus tests were taken, 4,974 new confirmed cases were registered, and 98 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 3,303 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 672,931. Pakistan has so far recorded 14,530 coronavirus-related deaths, and a total of 605,274 patients have recovered from the novel disease.
The country has so far conducted 1,02,47,374 coronavirus tests countrywide.
The positivity ratio reported in the last 24 hours is 9.93%.
Pakistan receives 0.56 million doses of procured vaccine:
Federal Minister for Planning and Development and NCOC Chief Asad Umar, on Thursday, shared that 0.56 million doses of procured vaccine reached country yesterday.
The federal minister also shared that another .5million doses will arrive tonight:
"Recieved 5 lakh 60 thousand procured vaccines yesterday. Another 5 lakhs will arrive tonight. Reviewed the vaccine administration situation in NCOC today and asked the provinces to increase the pace of vaccination to fully utilize the vaccines which have been made available."
