Pakistan on Friday has reported 1,579 new cases and 52 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 37,998 coronavirus tests were taken, 1,579 new confirmed cases were registered, and 52 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,551 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 587,014. Pakistan has so far recorded 13,128 coronavirus-related deaths, and a total of 556,769 patients have recovered from the novel disease.
According to the Ministry of National Health Service, the current positivity rate is 4.1%.
