ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered the removal of former DG ISI Lt Gen (retd) Asad Durrani's name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The case was heard by IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah.

After hearing arguments from all parties to the case, the IHC chief justice ruled that Durrani has the same rights as any other ordinary citizen, adding that there was no basis to keep his name on the no-fly list.

The Chief Justice remarked that looking at the entire record, there is no inquiry pending against Asad Durrani at the moment.
