COVID-19: Pakistan reports 1,541 new cases, 32 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan on Friday has reported 1,541 new cases and 32 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 41,849 coronavirus tests were taken, 1,541 new confirmed cases were registered, and 32 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 1,558 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country.

With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 577,482. Pakistan has so far recorded 12,804 coronavirus-related deaths, and a total of 542,393 patients have recovered from the novel disease.

As per the Ministry of National Health Services, the current positivity rate in Pakistan is 3.6% and there are 22,285 active reported cases of COVID-19 in the country.
