PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has said that her party is open to having a dialogue with the military establishment "within the ambit of the Constitution" but has conditioned it with the removal of "incumbent PTI government" from the office. She made these remarks in an interview with BBC Urdu.

"The army is my institution. We will definitely talk but within the ambit of the Constitution," she added and added that negotiations will be public and there would be no dialogue in secret.

Maryam also claimed that the "establishment has reached out to her close aides" but has not "contacted her directly".

It is worth mentioning that PML-N has long maintained that no talks with the military establishment will take place and that their 'fight is not with Imran but against those who stole the public mandate and brought khan in power.'

Party member including Maryam Nawaz has also time and again rejected claims by the PTI leaders that talks are taking place between the military establishment and PML-N.
