NOWSHERA: Five people died while one got injured when a mortar shell exploded in Akbarpura area of Nowshera on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122, the bodies and injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital.

The blast happened in a village in Nowshera after locals took the unexploded ordnance to the junk shop.

The explosion destroyed the shop, killing five people including the scrap dealer.
