ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the role of scholars and Ulema is crucial in rooting out intolerance and provocative attitudes in society and guiding the new generation towards Islamic values.

He was talking to Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, Chairman Muttahida Ulema Board Punjab and renowned religious scholar Allama Tahir Ashrafi who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Allama Tahir Ashrafi congratulated the Foreign Minister for exposing the atrocities against the oppressed Kashmiris all over the world and for adopting the best foreign policy.

He said today, the real face of India has been exposed to the world.

Allama Tahir Ashrafi thanked the Foreign Minister for raising an effective voice against the growing wave of Islamophobia around the world, especially in Western countries, and for drawing the world's attention to it.
