Bill Gates acknowledges Pakistan's coronavirus recovery

Bill Gates has acknowledged Pakistan's success in curtailing coronavirus spread in the country.

Yesterday, while reviewing the global response to COVID-19, the multi-billionaire Microsoft founder lauded the recovery made by Pakistan in the fight against novel coronavirus infection. He compared the current Pakistan COVID situation to that of Europe's.

He also commented on the alarming rise in new cases in neighboring India, likening it to the coronavirus situation of South America. While analyzing the COVID-19 trends of Pakistan and India, he said:

Pakistan had a pretty bad peak in Karachi but now they look like Europe, their numbers have come down. India is still sadly in a growth phase as lots of South America.

A couple of months ago, tech mogul-turned-philanthropist Bill Gates had also praised the efforts made by the government of Pakistan during his one-on-one telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
