At least five people were killed while several people were injured when a blast ripped through the city's Mall Road area on Monday

According to details, The explosion occurred on Mall Road near DPO office. The bomb was planted in a motorbike. The wounded have been shifted to hospital for medical treatment.

Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area to conduct an investigation into the blast.

Motorcycles and cars parked in the area were damaged due to the intensity of the blast.

Police are yet to ascertain the nature and intensity of the blast.
