Saba Qamar talks mental health in her latest YouTube video

Baaghi Star Saba Qamar talks about mental health and depression in the latest video on her YouTube channel. The latest video is a tribute to those struggling with depression and those who lost the battle against it.

In the video, the actor mentions model Anam Tanoli, Rushaan Farrukh, Quart-ul-Ain Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, and many others who couldn't survive their fight against depression.

In the video, Saba tries to urge the viewers to be kind to others:

"Aur Kitni Janain Lo gay? Kab Samjho Gay?" (How many more lives will you take? When will you understand?

The actor goes on to question why we, as human beings, are so interested in bullying and harassing others.

"Kion hum kisi ki sorat pay Bat karty hain? Aur jab sorat mein koi Ai'aib nazar na aay to, Seerat ko target karty hain?" (Why do we talk about someone's appearance? And when we can't find anything wrong with one's appearance, why do we talk about ones character?)

The actor goes on to talk against bullying while preaching for kindness.

Unfortunately in the South Asian part of the world, mental health is considered a taboo topic and is often swept under the carpet. Lack of acceptance or realization regarding mental well-being, stereotypes about mental disease, and a general lack of psychologists have contributed towards mental health being an illicit topic. According to a 2009 report by the World Health Organization (WHO), there are approximately only 342 psychiatrists in Pakistan for a population of 212.2 million.
