National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) on Thursday announced that all motorways are being closed for passenger traffic except for the transportation of food, oil and essential items.
According to sources, the NHMP spokesperson said that all kinds of passenger vehicles will not be allowed to travel on motorways.
In a couple of tweets, he said only two persons on private vehicles will be allowed and that too after they will give a solid reason for travelling.
C) Private vehicles to be allowed only if two or less occupants having valid justified reason to travel.

He said cargo vehicles will be allowed with minimum staff.
NH&MP said: “In support of the lockdown against the Corona virus outbreak, all motorways are being selectively closed for traffic as follows entry of all types of Public passenger vehicles. The Goods/oil carriers or necessary food item carriers allowed with minimum crew.”
