Khalil ur Rehman Qamar comes under wrath of social media

Pakistani writer and director, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has been the talk of the town since his hit drama serial ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ which has gained both criticism and favorable remarks.

Ahead of International Women’s Day 2020 Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar had a discussion around feminism and Aurat March in a talk show.

As we all know about the director’s short-tempered behaviour, he got into an abusive spat with a participant during the talk show.

The writer proceeded to say that when the court has barred usage of slogans like Mera jism, Meri marzi (My body, my choice), then it hurts him deeply to see Marvi Sirmed use these slogans.

Sirmed, who too was a part of the panel interupted him by chanting ‘Mera jism, Meri marzi' and kept on repeating it. In response, Rehman got furious and shouted at her to ‘not to interrupt him' and started abusing her.

Tere jism men hai kya? (What is in your body) Don't talk in between. Thookta nahi hai koi tere jism pe (No one would even spit on your body). Shut up you b****. Beech men nahi bolo (Don't talk in between)," he yells at Sirmed.

The TV host instead of stopping the writer, asked Sirmed to stay quiet and speak on her turn.

After the show Clips become popular on Social Media with #khalilurrehmanqamar #Auratmarch #marvisirmid. Most of tweets have some bad comments about the lady.
