A prominent American historian, philosopher and educationist, professor Noam Chomsky said that US president Donald Trump's offer to mediate Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India is an act to win Nobel prize.
Professor Noam Chomsky wrote numbers of books and many of the books he wrote has been translated to several other languages.
According to IndependentUrdu professor Noam Chomsky was when asked about Trump's offer to mediate Kashmir dispute, he replied that it is possible but it would be not because of Trump's sincerity towards the issue. He is totally unaware of the issue and this is actually his efforts to achieve a Nobel prize, he added.
He said that there is no doubt regarding America's influence and it is possible if US makes efforts regarding mediation but there is no chance that US would play such role.
Answering a question about Afghan peace process and US-Taliban talks, professor Chomsky said that Pakistan can force US through its magistral diplomacy to mediate Kashmir dispute on behalf of Pakistan's efforts in maintaing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Chomsky said that American are unanimously agreed upon the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan but it should be kept in mind that Taliban may not come into power again.
