CAA install self boarding service to avoid long queue

No more long queues! Civil Aviation Association (CAA) has installed advance ‘Self-check-in kiosk’ machines for passengers at Jinnah International airport.

These automated systems will help users to accept boarding passes without having to wait in queues for long periods and hence it will save a lot of hassle and time. It is expected that the new system will bring improvement in customer services and operations, this advanced machine is imported from France.

Using the kiosk, Travelers can identify themself using their ID or passport and attain information regarding confirmation of their flight, print their boarding passes, check their seating arrangement and also get information on the checked luggage. The facility is mainly designed for travelers who only carry hand carries.

The CAA imported more than 15 machines which will be used for issuing boarding passes to passengers, according to CAA officials.

It has already installed two machines each in domestic and international lounges of the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The facility has also been made functional at the Faisalabad airport.
