LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted bail to PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

During the hearing on bail plea, Maryam Nawaz’s counsel Amjad Pervez said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been subjecting the petitioner to double jeopardy and invoking the laws retrospectively.

Maryam has been directed by the court to submit surety bonds worth Rs10 million, and deposit an additional Rs70million and surrender her passport to secure her release.
