Sikh community has lauded Pakistan's decision to open Kartarpur Corridor, allowing visa free entry to people from India to visit one of their holiest place.
Talking to Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel, US-based Sikh businessman Jatindar Singh Randhawa appreciated Pakistan government for protecting and preserving the old structure of the shrine at Kartarpur while undertaking construction and expansion work.
He said about one million Sikh people live in the United States and they all are very happy over the initiative taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said a number of people from the United Sates are planning to visit Kartarpur on opening day of the Corridor.
Meanwhile, Chairman Baba Guru Nanak Welfare Society Pakistan, Sardar Bishan Singh has said that the Corridor will enable thousands of Sikh pilgrims from India to visit Kartarpur shrine in Pakistan. —Radio Pakistan
