US President Donald Trump says US and Chinese negotiators are expected to meet in next month to hold trade talks. 

He said that he did not think Beijing would retaliate for the US tariffs and that he believes China wants to make a trade deal.

Meanwhile, China vowed to counter the latest US tariffs on three-hundred billion dollars of Chinese goods but also called on the United States to meet it halfway on a potential trade deal.—Reuters
