Indian spending millions of dollars to sabotage CPEC : Ahsan

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that India is spending hundreds of millions of dollars in order to create chaos in Pakistan by using the Afghanistan's soil.

Addressing media persons on the occasion of inauguration of first executive passport office in Quetta today, he said that India wants to foil the CEPC mega project. Ahsan Iqbal added that India is challenging Pakistan but we would respond to its challenge through unity and solidarity of our nation.

The Interior Minister further said that the Federal Government has provided record funds to the Universities of Balochistan.

He pointed out that Federal Government has accorded approval for construction of forty small dams in Balochistan.

The Interior Minister said that the Quetta-Gwadar Highway has been completed and a medical college would also be established at Gwadar University.

Earlier, the Interior Minister inaugurated the first Executive Passport office in Quetta today.

Later talking to a delegation of senior lawyers, Ahsan Iqbal said that the nation is endeavouring for the supremacy of rule of law and promotion of democracy in the country.

He said that the government in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission will introduce a five year scholarship programme of one billion rupees for the training of lawyers of Balochistan.

Referring to law and order situation in the province, the Minister said that the law and order situation has been improved to a great extent.

He pointed out that several mega projects in energy, infrastructure and communications sector are underway in the country and after completion they will bring revolutionary changes in the living standard of the masses.

The Interior Minister said that terrorism is being sponsored on the western side of the border just to foil the CPEC mega project.
