LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar said that Pakistan is a democratic country where public elect their leaders, Aaj News reported.
He gave these remarks in the Supreme Court Registry Lahore, during the hearing of a case against the affiliation of unstandardized private law colleges with government universities.
Court asked Vice chancellors of 9 universities across the Pakistan to conduct inquiry about how many colleges are affiliated with their respective university, and whether they meet the eligible criteria. It also directed them to submit oath papers.
He added that people say he has forgotten the case of Kher Deen and Muhammad Deen, but it is not like that, he can still solve the case in 6 months by courting on Saturday and Sunday.
The hearing was conduct on January 20.
