RAWALPINDI: Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) in its statement said that a delegation of defense committees from Senate and National Assembly visited General Headquarters and held a session with Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajawa.
The lawmakers were given briefing on the security situation of the country, including the situation on the borders and the Pakistan Army's efforts for peace and security.
Senator Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qayyum led the delegation, and also laid a wreath at the Martyr's monument.
General Qamar Javed Bajawa also said that the amalgamation of FATA into KPK should be resolved by the political set-up.
The session concluded with a resolve to continue the struggle against extremism through a cooperative national approach.
