LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to be new head of Pakistan Muslim League (N), said leader of the house in senate, Raja Zafarul Haq, in an interview on Tuesday, Aaj News reported.Â
According to reports, the senior leadership of the party has taken this decision after disqualification of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Reports further revealed that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sent a notice to PML(N) which states a disqualified person cannot hold any rank in the party, as per order of Political Parties 2002.
In an interview, Raja Zafarul Haq said the decision of making Shahbaz Sharif, the new chief of the party will be announced soon.
